The spokesman said Lord Tim Bell said Thatcher "died peacefully this morning after her stroke."
He said British Prime Minister David Cameron that he "received with deep sorrow" news of Thatcher's death, saying that Britain "lost a great leader and a great prime minister and a great citizen."
It also expressed Britain's Queen Elizabeth for her grief, she would send a private message of condolence to her family.
Thatcher was no longer appear before her death only rarely. According to the advice of her doctors no longer receiving speeches general since 2002 because of her Alzheimer's and physical weakness, after exposure to several brain clots.
It was entered into the hospital in December / December last, where underwent surgery to remove a tumor "small" in the bladder, according to those close to them.
